How was that Datsyuk trade terrible? He just saved his owner 7.5 million dollars. Look at the players he's taken with his picks. The kid is doing a wonderful job at his first draft as GM.

CBJ should have taken either whatever EDM would give them, or whatever we would have given them. Come away with the player you like plus an asset. Even if it is just a late round pick you are still ahead.

It's the same thing people lay into Benning for. You can't just "trade back" 1 spot for something with no risk, unless you find the right trade partner. Sometimes that's not there.

I mean, if you narrow your entire market down to 1 or 2 teams, they can just as easily say, "lol, no thanks". Make your pick bud.

LOL Holland bent him over in this trade!

He only gained 4 draft spots and lost a 2nd round pick and decent prospect WHILE TAKING ON that contract. Holland is the absolute genious here. Then he trades a high 2nd pick for a player with major major problems, including racial slurts to his teammates. I'm not sure why you're envious other than jumping on the fancy stats train without thought.
