Forgot to post this, but saw it happened a while back. I forget where I read it, but I belive the deal is for 2016-17/

Yeah, I saw this (see post 15)! If he is invited to development camp, I'll probably view this as a done deal.

According to Eliteprospects, Brandon Marino who played 34 games (Season + Playoffs) with the Utica Comets has signed with the Slovakian club of HC Nove Zamky

------------------------------------------
Wilkes-Barres' captain Tom Kostopoulos could be leaning toward retirement

At 37, Kostopoulos entered this postseason hoping to lead the Penguins to their first ever Calder Cup title and then to retire as a champion.

“I envisioned us winning the Cup and then me throwing my gear in the garbage, but it wasn’t to be this year,†Kostopoulos laughed. “But I was really proud of the guys and how hard they played in both series. We gave ourselves a chance.â€

Over the next couple weeks, Kostopoulos will head home, relax and contemplate his future. He’ll have long conversations with his family and then decide if a 20th season is in the cards.

Ben Youds has signed with Leksands of the SHL.
http://www.leksandsif.se/artikel/v6etaiojz-30ead/

Since turning pro in 2011, the 28-year old dman has registered 100 points in 252 AHL contests. Despite his decent AHL numbers, Youds has never been signed to a NHL contract

---------------------------------------------------
According to an awful google translation of a Swedish report, Kelly Zajac has decided that the 2015-2016 season will be his last.

Kelly Zajac will not connect to Tingsryd
Published: 2016-05-22 22:21

Kelly Zajac, who earlier this spring was contracted for the coming season in Tingsryd, will not connect to Taif. He is due to social reasons, chose to end his hockey career after he was done playing this season.

Then Kelly will no longer be a part of this year's squad, we are looking now for a replacement for him.

By all accounts, Zajac has voided the deal that he signed with the Swedish team of Tingsryd.

In his short pro career, Travis Zajac's brother has scored 62 points in 122 points. However, it ended on a disappointing note as Zajac only registered one assist in 14 games with the Manitoba Moose before being released last February.

Zajac is currently playing for the South Carolina Stingrays in the ECHL. He recorded a goal and an assist and five shots last night in their OT loss to Wheeling in the ECF. Game 7 is tonight.

He is tied for the team lead in points with 18 (3 g 15 a) in 18 GP in this year's playoffs and tied for sixth in points for the league (one point behind third, two points behind second). He leads the team with a +10. He had 22 (9 g 13 a) points and a +6 in 21 GP for South Carolina during the regular season.

He'll be 28 on June 6.

Despite leading the Portland Pirates in scoring (42 points in 75 games), Rob Schremp has decided to return to Europe.

The 30-year old forward has signed with the club of Langnau in the Swiss A league.

The NHL’s Dallas Stars have signed G Landon Bow of the Seattle Thunderbirds to an AHL contract. Tim Wharnsby of CBC was first to report NHLthe signing. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Bow, who played out his junior eligibility this season, was an undrafted free agent. A native of St. Albert, Alta., he was acquired by the Thunderbirds from the Swift Current Broncos this season and really finished strongly. He was 9-14-4, 3.09, .912 with the Broncos, before finishing the regular season by going 16-6-0, 1.76, .938 with Seattle. In the playoffs, Bow was 13-5, 1.96, .927 as he started 18 straight games. . . . He likely will begin next season with the AHL’s Texas Stars or the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads.

F Jan Mandat who played for Val D'Or in the Q apparently signed with Albany yesterday. Nothing official from the Albany Devils yet.

http://www.lechoabitibien.ca/sports/hockey/2016/5/31/jan-mandat-signe-avec-les-devils-d-albany.html

edit: Interim Fire & Ice reporter Andrew Gross (full time NYR reporter) has picked up on the signing but does not identify it as an AHL contract, simply that the (NJ) Devils have signed him. Still no official word from the Devils organization.

Reports indicate the Devils have signed Jan Mandat, a 20-year-old center who has played the last four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The 6-foot-1, 201-pound Mandat had 20 goals and 44 assists in 62 games last season for Val d'Or.

Chicago/Rockford now has Mac Carruth, Jack Hildebrand and SHL star Lars Johansson under contract. With theses moves, it seems that Michael Leighton and Mark Visentin are likely moving on.

According to this picture, Sam Povorozniouk has signed a AHL contract with an unnamed team. (Even with the 500% zoom, I'm unable to clearly see what is written on the contract.)
