Should I do Palmieri for Kessel?

Points are based on Goals, Assists, Power play points, Plus-minus, and Shots on goal.

ESPN seemed in love with the goalies this year. I didn't get it. So many great goalies are always available in the later rounds. I just don't get taking a goalie in the first.

I've got a single year hockey pool draft tomorrow. First three picks anyone is fair game. Points are strictly goals and assists.

I am kind of leaning towards Kane, McDavid and Benn.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Hard to argue against those 3 with Crosby injured

Well, I didn't pick Matthews.. but I think I have a decent team.

Top 3 anyone can pick. After that, anyone selected is off the board.

1. Kane
2. McDavid
3. Tavares
9. Karlsson
30. Pacioretty
31. Voracek
52. Bergeron
53. Radulov
74. H Sedin
75. Ehlers (Sleeper)
96. Barrie
97. Shattenkirk
118. Fabbri (Sleeper)

Nobody picked Karlsson until 34? Seriously? Also, I assume there's no locked positions (W, C, D).

I just want to boast that I picked Matthews in my pool.

I'm happy with my Toronto player as well, I picked Nylander who carries a 1.5 mil cap hit in my cap league pool (can pick anyone on a given list with a 60 mil cap). To put that in perspective, Laine carries a 2.7 mil cap hit and Ovechkin is 5.3 mil.

How does scoring work in our league? And I lucked out with Mathews.

Each category has its own ranking system, and all categories are weighted equally. At the end of the season, whoever has the highest ranking across all the categories will be the Turtle Cup champion.

So you can be ranked 1st in Goals, but last in Assists.

How do we get points? I'm currently at 127.5 and your at 186. I don't get it.

If you are first in a category, you get 20 points; last, you get 1; 5th you get 16, and so on. Add up your points from each category for your total. Ties split the difference (hence the 20 way tie for shutouts getting all of us 10.5 points).

With Quick injured it looks like I will need a new goalie for a different league I'm in. H2H and already have holtby.

Should I go with lehner or bob or Mason?

What should I do with Lindholm? I kind of forgot about his contract situation when I drafted him. Just suck it up until he suits up somewhere?

You're right I should change that. He was technically the first pick after the top 3, which in turn was about 8 players. And correct, no locked positions. Scoring is based off of goals and assists only.

Bob looked good in WCH. Maybe go with him until Columbus shows they are going to be a tire fire or not. They could surprise, who knows.

I can't imagine they won't work that one out soon. Seems to just be budget related.

Thanks I was thinking Bob too but so far Quick is still day to day so can't make any subs.

Helleybuck is available too. Didnt see him before and am now wondering if it's the better choice.
