So close to a Newcastle v Sunderland match as both were in the last four drawn. Just not to be.

That game was pretty easy. Impressed with Liverpool's ability at limiting goals allowed to 1.

They seem to have learned how to keep their composure. One goal conceded at the end rapidly became two and 3 previously. Wijnaldum was great. Excellent signing.

Also of mention is that Alexander-Arnold will definitely make the grade as an RB. So will Ejaria as CM.

Thought Arnold was solid. Spurs didn't do much though. Pretty much only Lamela showed signs of life for 20 ish minutes.

Wijnaldum is underrated. His pass for Sturridge's 2nd goal is a perfect example of something he does that others on the team rarely do. His first touch passes and ability to speed up the play through the midfield are unrivaled on the team. As much as Coutinho, Lallana and Firmino have the ability to do what he did I would say 90% of the time they would have taken a touch on the ball there first and Sturridge would've been offside. Among other things obviously that he brings. Nice to see him back. Still feel the United result would have been different had he and Lallana been healthy.

Big win anyway.

Good physical play there. Thought there was a foul in front of the net on Herrera. Edit: In replay that looks like a pretty solid 50/50 ball, could even argue it would have been a penalty and Dean played advantage for the Mata shot.

COYI!! 15 mins. to go, 2-0 win over CFC would be huge, brings much needed confidence the Hammers lacked in the last weeks/this season.
