Not meaning to say that the reg season is the same, but Tampa swept the Rangers there.

Thinking it's at least 6 games whether it's against the Caps or Rangers. And no way to say which way.

That might have been the worst game I've seen Montreal play in a long, long time. Even worse than game 2 when they lost 6-2. That was downright embarrassing from every forward to every defenseman. It's an elimination game and you come out so flat, with no energy and not one player decides to use their brain.

Gotta give Tampa credit they played a heck of a game from start to finish but the Habs made it so easy for them. Turnover after turnover, couldn't make a simple 10 foot pass, weren't getting any shots, weren't hitting, just an atrocious showing from Montreal and after that, they deserve to be eliminated.

That Canadiens team needs to get rid of Therrien in the worst way and also needs two new top-6 forwards, if not three. Pacioretty and Gallagher are top-6 players, and Plekanec can be the 2nd line centre but they are in dire need for a true 1st line C, and two wingers for the 2nd line. Galchenyuk simply didn't cut it this year. Scherbak on the way so that's positive for them, but they need more help.

Haven't been impressed with Tampa... Habs basically beat themselves. JMO.

They've backed themselves into a corner. Price if anything is underpaid, but Subban is definitely grossly overpaid. They also have Markov, Parenteau, Desharnais, and Emelin who are all overpaid, and the only one who comes off the books in 2016 is Parenteau.

Habs need to jettison those 4 (Markov, Parenteau, Desharnais, and Emelin) and Plekanec. Build around Subban, Price, Pacioretty, Galchenyuk, Gallagher. But IMO that is a bad core: a defenseman who can't play D and only one elite forward. They have painted themselves in a corner not only due to the bad contracts, but because the players they selected to build around are good players but not good enough.

Seriously. Bishop got outplayed in the series overall but he was big in the moments he needed to be.

This. The media sucking Price's dick 24/7 as become tedious and exagerated. It's like he invented goaltending.

IMO, there's way too much focus on what the media says/does.

Price wasn't just the best goalie in the league, he was the best overall player and deserves both the Hart and Vezina. He was also amazing in the Olympics. What's wrong with the media praising him?

It was the same with Hammond when people started rooting against him just because he was getting too much credit from the media.

There's credit and there's hype,which is when it becomes more than just about the performance. Yeah it should and could be just ignored but it's hard and then you have to shut everything off. I don't listen to the radio and watch sportsnet like a lot of you guys do, I can only imagine.
