...

Could go on and on.

At least now you/one can suggest the Leafs aren't bereft of prospects.

Things are starting to look like the team is interested in the future.

Filling the cupboards with grinders and testosterone didn't exactly move the franchise along.

When did I mention top 3 prospects? Having Carter Vergaeghe as your 19th best prospect is a sign of depth....something the Leafs organization hasn't had in god knows how many years. Still lots of high upside kids in the 20 - 30 range also.

Not sure why blue chip prospects are a topic of conversation in a thread about the Leafs 19th best prospect. Maybe keep an eye on other team prospect lists and compare #19 to Verhaeghe. I bet Carter is a better prospect than most players in this range.

I'm not surprised that Hyman or Bailey are not ranked yet, thinking of our experience with college free agent signings in the last years. I hope they prove us wrong.
The same with Soshnikov. I was very high on Kontiola.

Verhaeghe is not a better prospect than Carrick...

IMO but he struggled until Perlini got healthy and joined the Dogs and his abysmal start to the season without him was very troubling considering he was 19 year old in regards to his status as an NHL prospect with offensive upside. I think most here believe Carter is likely to be ECHL bound.

Verheaghe had a slow start but finished with a solid 83 points in his final 57 games. Verhaeghe was voted 3rd in both faceoffs and smartest player in the eastern conference.
He has solid size listed at 6'2" 185 lbs. He was one of the younger players drafted in the 2013 draft and is actually younger than Rinat Valiev.
