Whoa there, just had a flashback to exactly what our prospect situation was like under Burke. You remember, when we weren't drafting for skill but instead picked up big physical guys who were 'safe' picks to make the NHL?

To be fair, Burke's highest picks were Kadri and Rielly, neither of whom fit that discription, or were obvious picks.

Yes, but Burke's draft picks who were 2nd rd or later were pretty much all guys who were drafted in the hopes that they could become 3rd/4th liners, rather than skilled guys with a high ceiling and and 'lower' chance of actually playing in the NHL.
