This poll is not a true reflection of how close Marner and Nylander are as prospects. 81% to 15%.

Nylander is the 11th highest ranked prospect on HF Futures in the entire world. And he has 15% votes?

Puzzles me too but then again it's public.

He is my favorite leafs prospect we've ever had but picking Marner wasn't too difficult of a decision. Just think he's a better prospect. Doesn't mean nylander isn't great too

For Leafs sake it had better be Marner or the Leafs made a mistake drafting as this the highest they have drafted in over 20 years. ;)

Marner would be the best player in that draft as well as many others. He's very likely to be the 2nd best player in this draft.

Let's be a little modest here with our shiny new toy. There's also a couple guys by the name of Eichel, Hanifin, Strome and Provorov

"Likely" is pretty subjective at this stage of the game my friend

This makes no sense, not even a little.

It could be 100% - 0% and they would still be very close as Prospects.

As a Leaf fan, wouldn't you be happy that Marner is thought so highly of in comparison to the "11th ranked prospect on HF Futures in the entire world"?

It shouldn't be a reflection of how close they are though, that's not the point of it. 81% believe Marner is our best prospect, but that doesn't mean anything about how that 81% feels about Nylander. He could be ahead by a hair, but that's not going to change the percentages.

Nylander will likely win the #2 spot with a higher percentage of the votes than Marner got for #1.

Nylander and Marner could end up being Crosby and Malkin in the sense that, both are phenomenal players who are close overall. But in the end one is just better. I can easily see Nylander being a ppg Swedish superstar. Marner I see as being the face of the franchise.

Actually it does make sense. There is no way there should be a 65% differential in this poll.

Nylander just played in a mens league and put up 32 points in 37 games, picked 8th overall last year. How many points do you think he would have gotten if he was playing on a good OHL team last season?

Its a good problem to have but for it will depend on the mental side and the work ethic side - who will put in the time to prevent and recover from injuries.

Syd the Kid was unchallenged before his concussions and his injuries opened everyone's eyes to how severe head injuries or and the lasting effects on a player's career.
