Minimum of three first rounders wear #97 which is pretty crazy. Jeremy Roy as well, I wonder if any others do as well.

Barzal has always been 97 until he got to the WHL. Seattle doesn't have high numbers so maybe he goes back to that.

Makes sense since a most of them are 97 birthdays....

I tell myself it will be worth it in the end when the Sabres finish with #2 and we add Jack Eichel to our team. (No shot at McDavid the league will fix it for sure)

Eichel-Reinhart-Girgensons

That's a 1-2-3 punch down the middle that can compete for cups.

@SabresProspects: #Eichel "squatted 320 lbs, cleaned 335 lbs, close-grip bench press of 250 lbs...and body fat of 6.3%" http://t.co/uiEm9CdnUL #2015draft

@patricktehan: @SabresProspects 320 front squat - not just a regular back squat. impressive.

"He wont be good when he's not the biggest guy." #JustEkbladThings

The thing is because he's playing the NCAA, he's probably not the biggest guy on the ice. He's going up against guys who are pushing 23, 24 years old in some cases.
