Wow, that's a compressed schedule. Whatever team wins is going to get some time off before the next round, because some teams don't theoretically finish until May 1. They're going to that rest - 5 in 7 is brutal, but I guess it's necessary when you're on a bus. (Or maybe they can borrow the big B's jet - after all, it's not going anywhere....:sarcasm:)

The compressed schedule should be a benefit for Providence, as they can basically field a different team each night

Just got back from Bridgeport. I think they'll be fine in this series. They are loaded. And Heinen looks great. Real nose for the puck and showed a lot of confidence on the boards.

So, for clarification, any prospect that is on an ATO that has a signed ELC is eligible to compete in the AHL playoffs?

So Carlo can play, so can Senyshyn, but Gabrielle cannot?

Is Senyshyn signed to an ATO? I didn't see that anywhere.

Sorry I have no answer to your question. I've been wondering the same thing.

Here is an HF thread from 2014 regarding the ATO/Playoff question. If you read post #6 it appears that any team prospect with a signed contract is eligible. The question is whether or not PRO would put Senyshyn on that eligible list, I guess?

There was a tweet from Mark Diver on the 16th that said he was looking forward to seeing Senyshyn in PRO before too long, but nothing after that?

Vatrano had a screaming slapshot one timer for a goal far side high from the left wing. Goalie was about as out of position as can be, basically gave him the whole net. May have pushed off so aggressively because he knew it was vatrano and his release coming at him so he overcompensated and pushed left to right so hard he ended up at the face off circle

Doesn't the prospect have turn 20 by January to be eligible to play in the AHL ?

Also I think that the Bruins are at 50 contracts.

i dont understand why the ahl is going with 2-3 format for this series... shouldnt it be 2-2-1? if pbruins win both of 1st 2 games then the ahl robbed pbruins home fans of seeing 2 wins...

Id guess money is the reason. Travel expenses aren't as high with a 2-3 compared to 2-2-1

The AHL usually doesn't work that way. Travel is usually by bus and going back and forth like that is burdensome.

The ATOs dont count against this year's cap number so we still have like 48 contracts. Also they can play in the nhl after their season in juniors is over but if they aren't eligible for the ahl next year they have to go back to juniors after the pro season is over.
