Global Spectrum operates the arenas in both London, Ontario and Allentown, PA. It could simply be a preference to play in the arena closer to home, to reduce travel expenses and publicize the newer building for the AHL team.

They also said that they were changing T camp this year to skip a team bonding trip too. Berube said it wasn't working to help with a good start. This year they are staying close to home, let's hope it works.

They didn't do team bonding during camp, it was always right after pre-season (if they started with a road trip) or not long after.

Don't see why cutting out London had anything other to do with choosing to go to Allentown instead. Wish they still would do that since STH's have the privledge of paying full price for 3 home pre-season games. Going to Allentown should have cut that down to 2.

Home openers were announced today.

Philly opens on the road in Tampa on October 8; home opener is October 12 versus Florida, which is the back half of a home-and-home (Florida's home opener is October 10 versus Philly).

NHL Schedules to be Fully Released today probably around 4pm.

I have seen Flyers on road at Rangers, Islanders, Devils.

Where have you seen the flyers play and where do you want to see them play.

my goal each year, is to do 1 rd trip a year.

my goal this year, would be to do minnesota and if on the same trip possibly chicago.

I really didn't want to create a new topic, but being as media is apart of this topic and offseason.

NHL, gave a board of governers update to expansion.

Bill foley, conducted a season ticket drive in vegas. 13,000 have sign on and would purchase season tickets and it is from people who live there. Business and casinos haven't been counted in yet.

Seattle, Vegas, Quebec City seem to be the leading choices if expansion or a current team is to be moved.

That's an INSANE number. Does that help the cap that year? I mean if you throw in 2 teams, the league revenue just added a billion dollars that year.

Expansion fees are not part of shared revenue. No increase in cap just play money for all the owners to enjoy.

Comcast SportsNet, the home of the Philadelphia Flyers, announced today the broadcast schedule of three preseason games, as well as a live taping of “Meet the Flyers”, which will take place on Saturday, Sept. 19.

“Meet The Flyers” is a one-hour television special on Comcast SportsNet that offers fans a sneak preview of the upcoming season and allows fans to get to know the 2015-16 Philadelphia Flyers. The show will be taped in front of a live studio audience at the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, NJ.

In addition, the broadcast schedule for three Flyers preseason games are as follows:

Tuesday, September 22 Flyers vs. Rangers 7 p.m. TCN

Friday, September 25 Flyers vs. Islanders 7 p.m. TCN
