Steen I would love as a player so much. His fit here would probably mean Ladd would play 3rd line...you could throw him at center, but ask any Blues fan and they'll tell you he's better suited to the wing. Putting a big money UFA at his lesser position or off wing is a recipe for an albatross contract.

We need centers more than anything. Stastny would be cheaper (unless Toronto goes ape **** I guess), wouldnt need as long of term on a deal, and probably a better fit for what we need. What Jokinen SHOULD have been.

Lets see what Scheifele and Burnistrov's situation is at before we intentionally overspend to fill a hole on the team.

I have to think that if/when it jumps up to that kind of level the Jets will go back to being a "mid-cap" team.

If we make the playoffs this year I could see them swinging for someone pricier.
