So Sanahiem from the Flyers gets taken at 14 as he continues to establish himself as a reliable top 4 dman. Still some top 6/4 quality guys here in this draft but def not as deep as the 2015 draft. Anyways lets keeper going and onto 15. Who goes next? Lemme know if you think someone should be added for the NEXT poll

Well, Kapanen is year younger than Olofsson. Stats are comparable, but Olofsson has lots of power play goals and points as he played in less top heavy team. I can see argument for either really.

It will be interesting to see what kind of role Kappie gets in Pens.

Olofsson again

Speaking of VO, surprised it took me this long to notice you put two 'fs' and one 's' again
Like come on Tuch is still on the board. Unbelievable he isnt winning this one. Id take him ahead of Nylander, Ehlers, Reinhart, Vrana and Arvidsson. If he is playing up in the lineup he is making a bigger impact than all those players.

maybe the problem is you're overrating Tuch, not that everyone else is underrating him

Yeah. Tuch is a solid player, and i get that he brings a physical element that others do not. But on balance, he's had one really great season, and the rest of the time, looked more like a nice ~40pt, 15G sort of middle-six power forward. Taking him over some of those names listed, is madness to me.

Even in this poll, i'm still taking Olofsson and his upside as a goal-scorer. Though i can understand why others would shy around from the (less than) 1-year sample size, and the "bad team" effect potentially inflating his results there. He's never gonna have the impact in other areas of the game, but he looked darn impressive to me in what he does do well. He looks every bit the part of a perennial 30G guy to me. Whereas Tuch...wouldn't surprise me much if that 20G season was the high water mark.

Heck, i'd take Kapanen ahead of Tuch too. Similar "high points", but with lesser opportunity. Never going to bring the size of Tuch, but Kapanen can be plenty feisty, and his speed is also a gamebreaking element. Feels like there's more scoring "headroom" to Kapanen to me.

I think you can argue for any of the three reasonably enough. I just prefer the other two. No need to bring in hyperbole into.

Alex Tuch is utterly dominant at times but has been inconsistent and injured the past little while. If he puts that consistency together, and I think he will, he's gonna be an immovable force for a long time and a top 10 player from this draft, easily.
