A conditional second round pick and Collberg for Vanek. Something tells me that either Garth Snow screwed up (a real possibility...) or the other GM's know something about Vanek which severely lowers his value. Even if RS didn't want to top the offer, it seems like SOMEONE would've.

It's pretty apparent that Shero massively overpaid for Murray last year. But Vanek is a terrible fit here.
