Welcome to the HF Wild 2014 NHL Draft discussion thread! The time for speculation is (nearly) over and now it's time to see who goes where, what kind of trades happen, and what kind of tricks GM Chuck Fletcher has up his sleeve this year. Hold on to your butts!

As usual, please keep all general talk regarding the draft contained to this thread.

Tyratoku or one of the moderators will create a discussion thread for each Wild draft pick.

You guys should already know but there will be a very low tolerance for anything like flaming and trolling. Just don't do it, okay?

And here's a metric ton of info courtesy of Woodhouse:

Will be very interesting to see if some bigger names drop. Perlini would be a snag. Big, speedy, goal scoring winger. Yes please!

Nhl network mock has Larkin going 14.
Minnesota wild drafting fabbri at 18.
Milano going to tb at 19

Idk if I would take fabbri over Milano?

I hope we take Milano, Kempe, Barbashev, Ho Sang, or Vrana.

No real reason why besides watching highlights.

I'm going to order pizza and drink a bunch of beer tomorrow. Should be an awesome day. I wish I had a fast forward button.

Oooh, finally! Can't wait to see who we pick. My money's on Fiala falling to us, who should be a very good pick at #18. Then again, I wouldn't mind Milano, Larkin, Tuch or even Ho-Sang who I think has top-5 upside in this draft.

Wait and see, I guess.

Great thread Avder - thank you! I hope we get a skilled forward like Milano or Fiala and stay away for two-way guys like Larkin. I'm afraid we wouldn't develop Larkin right.

Added even more info, this time in Stopping Pucks post because all 4 parts were literally too much information for HFBoards to handle in a single post.

I never knew HFBoards had a character limit per post.

Joshua Ho-Sang is very intriguing. He's just being shot down for being arrogant and cocky, but he's a ****ing teenager. Kinda normal for them to be arrogant and cocky.

Johnny Manziel effect, I suppose.

He comes across as a divisive element in a lockerroom. Something that would definitely NOT fit with the character this team has added top to bottom in the lineup. I'd rather not.

Milano or Pastrnak... as I said before.

Yeah, there's a reason they're split. Plus, in my experience, I've noticed that posts closer to the limit take longer to update (pinwheel) and leave you wondering if your one little edit went through.

Haha, yeah I bet those took tons of edits to get right.

Copy and pasting is a lot less edit heavy tho

I parsed it offline, so it wasn't so bad, but I chuckled the first time I pasted the 60+ table into an edit and was reminded of the character limit. It was more annoying when I just wanted to add a seventh or eighth article to a mediawatch cell. For those curious, those cells go oldest to newest, with a few links needing translating into English. The video links were mostly what's available on YouTube at the time, some hosted elsewhere, and a few may need a careful eye for the player if they're not a clip, interview, or reel. HF, HFB, and THW are self-explanatory, while the players link to their Elite Prospects pages so you can access their stats.

Awesome job Woodhouse.

I'm thinking we pick one of Larkin, Tuch and Milano.

Just absolutely incredible work, Woodhouse.

Reading the latest from Russo... I'm glad he doesn't like taking goaltenders in the first round! He sees the position the same as I do mostly...
