Sorry everyone, I was gone camping for the weekend. These will be appearing more regularly now.

I have also removed Peter Holland from the polls due to everyone getting their panties in a bunch over him. I had a thread earlier where people could decide whether I should or should not include prospects and no one said don't include Holland. Some of you may complain that this will skew previous results, but in all honesty I don't care, Finn still would have won.

I will make a thread everyday until we have determined the top 30 prospects according to Leaf fans on HFBoards.

Rankings:
1. William Nylander -- 93.26%
2. Matt Finn -- 37.14%

I think it's Leivo by a pretty good margin. He should turn out to be an above average 2nd line forward. I'm not sure I can say that about anyone else on the list.

No one was getting their panties in a bunch about Holland. HF's criteria about what constitutes a prospect is very clear. Holland did not meet that criteria, simple as that.

I think its Granberg but I voted Leivo already. Either way I think these 2 should get the checkmark. Infact I think they are ahead of Finn. And you all know, I love all 3 of these guys.

Yup. Although understandably some people differ on their definition of a prospect, considering where we are, it seems pretty cut and dry what definition we should be using.

Definitely Josh Leivo. I think Gauthier only has that many votes due to him being the latest 1st round pick (aside from Nylander). I've seen them both play and I've been more impressed with Leivo since he has made strides. Gauthier could end up really good but it's too early to assess.

Just because people are voting Leivo ahead of Verhaeghe

Verhaeghe
15 years old on Minor Midget team - 1.42PPG
16 years old in OHL - 0.26PPG
17 years old in OHL - 0.66PPG
18 years old in OHL - 1.26PPG

Leivo
15 years old on Minor Midget team - 0.93PPG
16 years old on Midget team - 1.19PPG
17 years old in OHL - 0.46PPG
18 years old in OHL - 1.11PPG
19 years old in OHL - 1.16PPG
20 years old in AHL - 0.71PPG

Verhaeghe has outproduced Leivo at every single stage of their careers, the only difference is that he has one year ahead in terms of development, but you guys carry on voting for Leivo. As far as Gauthier is concerned, safe pick but if he can't produce PPG in the QMJHL then I have serious doubts about his offensive game at the next level, yet this is supposed to be our 3rd best prospects. Almost as headshake worthy as people voting a 23 year old Peter Holland who hasn't yet cracked an NHL roster as our 2nd best prospect.

Anyways, carry on with this ranking

Voted Gauthier

It's very hard to predict where players end up and everything from pedigree to production to likelihood of reaching their potential makes this all very subjective.

Brown, Leivo, Verhaeghe and Percy are all good prospects, but Gauthier is just a very safe pick for me.

Leivo just put up a 23 goal pro rookie season, which could have been 30 if he played the full AHL season. He's proven he can produce against men, Verhaeghe hasn't. That's the difference.

How Gauthier is winning this poll is beyond me.

They're pretty comparable players in something like this. I like both but it'll take more than Verhaeghe's good 18 year season and Leivo's 23 goals in the AHL for them to make the NHL regularly. Hoping though

I agree. My point is that I take a good AHL season over a good CHL season. Verhaeghe hasn't had the opportunity to prove himself as a pro, which is why I take Leivo over him at the moment, as he's currently the more proven prospect.

I'd love it if we were able to see what Carter Ashton could do with some half-decent linemates and more than a couple minutes of ice time. For the record, I voted for Leivo but if we're looking at AHL success it's hard to argue what Ashton did last year.

Voted Leivo, chose him because I think he's the closest to NHL ready and looks like he has legit top 6 potential. Percy is also pretty close, I would've put him ahead of Finn.

Runner ups: Gauthier, Brown, Verhaeghe.
