Yuen made it to the big camp. Some people around here will be happy.

I thought Beaudoin and maybe Audette would get some time at the main camp, maybe even a game. Bah, I guess they will still look at him pretty closely in the Q and maybe sign him mid-season a la Nevins if they like what they see.

Glad to see Wardley get a longer look. I've heard Montreal has been impressed with him and his repeated invites would seem to indicate that. What's Hamilton's situation like? Could they use someone like him there?

I'd say there's two spots available. It wouldn't surprise me if Beaulieu was gifted one of them and whoever is best at camp gets the second one and they rotate in and out of the lineup.

Basically, the rookie camp meant nothing. They only brought in the older players for the main camp. No way that some of those players should get extended looks over Goulet, Hill and Beaudoin.

I think Nygren is going to tear it up and get that #7 role.

It would certainly be better than letting him go to Sweden and never see him again (if he's NHL-ready, which i don't know if he is). Also, unlike Beaulieu and Tinordi, the habs aren't pressured to play him games for his development.

I think all of those EXCEPT Finley are gone either before the first pre-season game or right after. Finley will survive the first cuts I'm pretty sure. Maybe MacDonald too, depending of when they send Fucale back to juniors.

Finley is 6' 8". 245 lbs. Geez. Wonder if he can shoot a jump shot.

Even if Fucale stays for while, MacDonald may hang around to take some shots. They use a lot of goalies when practices are rung on two rinks at the same time.

There's scrimmage games on the 19th, 20th and 21st. They probably wanted 3 full teams. They'll cut more players on the 21st.
