I think he'll hit around 111-120pts. I really think with the new system and some better support in the bottom 6 (by the way of gritty players that are good at that style) and after he's had a long season under his belt again, he'll get back to his beast mode ways.

Too many idiots have started to put people in his "class" after forgetting just how good he is. They're gonna re-learn this season.

I had to take a look at his profile to remember the last time he played over 70+ games. For him to do as well as he did last year, and I kept thinking he looked tired for stretches, is crazy. In a system where he's not chasing around the puck because of Dan's default "dump the puck, no matter what" system, he's going to catch Ovy real fast for career points.

108 points, no Cup

You'd make a terrible PR Man, Kings fanboy.

hopefully with stable wings and good support, he can hit 40 goals and around, oh, 100/110 points.

You mean like last year? You might want to see a doctor if you can't remember that. :sarcasm:

On topic, I think it will be just over 100 points and he will be able to pace himself a little bit now that the bottom six is better than last year.

i really think injuries have taken their toll on sid. he has not looked good in quite some time. i was not impressed by his play at the olympics or playoffs. sure he won the scoring title last year, but he looked like an inferior player to years past.

he still has crap linemates and no one to protect him. the penguins have done a terrible job supporting him, so i am expecting another disappointing year in what is becoming a disappointing career.

he had the talent and drive to be a top ten player of all-time, but injuries and playing for a mediocre organization are holding him back.

120. He'll have a better RW than what he had for most of last season. His coach isn't going to be using him a shutdown center. The change in system/philosophy will do him good as well.

Really depends on how many games he plays and if JR can get another top 6 winger.

You can't do much worse winger wise last year with Gibbons/Stempniak, whoever throughout the year.

If Dupuis ends up being his winger the whole year and he plays 80. 104-110.

A significant upgrade on his wing or BB shocks the world and stays healthy, plays alongside Sid and plays awesome. 110-120.

This as well. Eventually, you'll see more O-zone time. Activated D and Sid put in better positions to produce more.

I hope to see him break 100. I fear that league wide scoring will be down again this year and it will be tougher than ever to get it. I still think he will though.

Crosby is the only guarantee for 100pts at least, if he stays healthy. I don't think you could say that about anyone in this league right now. He's been like that his entire career.

Was just going to post that I think he will be the only player in the league north of 100 points, again.

Season hasn't even started and he's put 4-6 weeks. Lol.

This is what I think as well. He'll be the only one to crack 100 points if he can remain healthy.

111-120.

He had crap for wingers last year (may still be true I guess), no bottom 6 support (was getting Jordan Staal-style shutdown starts), had to deal with Orpik always being behind him AND was injured and coasted for the last month+. If he and the team stay even relatively healthy he'll increase his point and goal totals from last year.

I think with this system and JR getting Crosby a winger during the season we can see Crosby hit 122 points, but only if we can get Crosby a winger. Thinking someone like Kane maybe? someone who's got skill and can create plays by himself. If anyone can find a player like that JR can.

Crosby 46G 76A 122P
Malkin 49G 55A 104P

Then Stamkos with 60 goals 42 assists

MSL isn't there feeding him pucks... I wouldn't be shocked to see him barely hit 50.

Not that those numbers are bad, but I really think we will see a drop in his goals. 60 is A LOT.
