IU hawks fan,

If you get time will you post the locals for Thursday nights action?

I am curious to see how the blues did with a 9:30 local start after 4 days off and the Cardinals losing during the 1st intermission.

Game three of coyotes please. :)

Sorry guys, I was out of town since Friday with no computer and can't pull from my phone.

Blues did a 2.6, peaking at 4.1 at 10:45. The uptick began at 10:15, which looks to be about when the Cards ended, as FS1 dropped from 30.2 to 10.5.

Coyotes:
WED - 0.7
SAT - 0.5

I'm afraid to ask, especially since October numbers probably stink, but you have Devils ratings for the first few games?

Is it surprising Habs get more TV viewers French + English than the Leafs do? I feel like it's pretty surprising.

Not surprising at all. Last spring RDS had this many viewers watching in French.

Hockey is the story Saturday and it is getting interesting. Rogers’ CBC broadcast between Toronto and Detroit drew only 1,328,000, down sharply from the week before. The West game between Vancouver and Tampa Bay drew 877,000. These are both well down from what CBC used to score. City iced another game, Montreal at Colorado, and it did 661,000. Sportsnet had yet another game–featuring Ottawa: 192,000. TSN did much better with its CFL tilt Calgary vs. Winnipeg: 565,000.

Apologies if this is a dumb question (I'm new here ) but is there a way to get GameCenter viewing figures or are they already included in the figures above?

Any locals for the Saturday night line up?

I would think the blues and hawks did pretty well.

In Chicago,

CHICAGO, October 27, 2014 – In a head-to-head match-up Saturday and Sunday nights, the Blackhawks games on WGN-TV beat the World Series on WFLD-TV among Chicago Households and key demographic segments. New York ratings?

Do you have Rangers/Isles/Devils ratings for games so far?

Also -- any idea how Boychuk return did in Boston ratings (10/23)?

NBCSN should see a slight spike tonight as there is no local TV in Minnesota tonight for Wild at Bruins. NESN is showing the game in NE.

So what you're really saying is the game will be much worse than other games where both markets are watching their broadcast.....

Tuesday games on NBCSN are usually blacked out in the home markets unlike Wednesday and some other games that are exclusive, so tonight should do better than your average Tuesday night game.

They're not "usually" blacked out, it's all completely depends on how many games a team has scheduled with them. NBC can only have I think it's 12 games per team air in the market.

So obviously, they select to have their non-Wednesday games air later in the season and force the RSNs to take the early season games.

Here the Quebec TV numbers for the week ending October 19th and the Habs are doing quite nicely in French.

Palmarès des émissions - Québec francophone / Top programs - Québec Franco
Du 13 octombre au 19 octombre 2014 / October 13th to October 19th, 2014

This may come as a shock to some of you but HNIC did NOT crack the Top 30 of all programs on Canadian TV in the October 13-19th ratings period.

October 13 - October 19, 2014 (National)

HNIC did crack the Top 30 on the first Saturday night however.

October 6-October 12, 2014 (National)

The chart at bottom says they rate ALL English specialty networks which is how Sportsnet is classified with the CRTC. For example TSN cracked the Top 30 with a CFL game in August.

Isn't it because you can now watch 3 games at 7pm on HNIC at 7pm instead of 1?

It's odd reading these reports that don't understand the difference between how HNIC worked last year vs this year with Rogers.

bottom line needs to be how many people were watching hockey at 7PM EST last year vs this. From what i can tell, it's not much of a difference.

Roughly same number of people spread out over more games.
