I know Labbe isn't smart, but a gm isn't going to tell the player he's trying to trade him.

No he doesn't. Maybe a smooth skater but he is slow, especially on the pivot. It doesn't mean he is worthless because he has other attributes but that isn't one of them.

I don't see how people can scream so much about Beaulieu potentially going away. We have plenty of talented PMD in our pipeline, and Diaz himself proved to be quite good at it.

'Cause this team, someday, will need some grit and toughness. And in Beaulieu you might get the skating, the pure talent, the PP prowess and some grit and toughness while Diaz is...Diaz.

We have Markov, Subban, Diaz, Bouillon to a lesser extent, and then Beaulieu, Nygren, Bennett etc. that are all 'breakout passes' or 'rush the puck out' kind of D.

We need someone who 'can wheel and clear the crease'!

He's huge and he's still young...
