I really want Kadri with Kessel this year. Kessel could hit 50 imo. I get that he's best buds with Bozey, but Carlyle needs to do this. At least regular season. Playoffs is a different story.

Could have Kadri and Kessel play together during the PP. Otherwise spreading the talent makes a lot more sense. Teams that aren't doing that are going to have severely limited compromised performance in the playoffs.

JVR-Bozak-Kessel (why change what's working?)
Lupul-Kadri-Clarkson (Clarkson will do what Kulemin did when he scored 30 that season)
McClement-Bolland-Kulemin (all are offensive black holes, amazing defensively)
McLaren-______-Orr (line needs better players, as of now it can be a liability)

How I see the forward group

JVR - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Clarkson
Kulemin - Bolland - Ashton?
D'Amigo - McClement - Orr / McClaren

- Colborne could take the 4th line C role, moving McClement to 3rd RW
- Sign Damien Brunner for a 3rd line role? he could challenge Clarkson for the top 6
- plenty of time for trades, I'm sure Nonnis is far from done

I'd rather D'Amigo over Ashton on the 3rd line. We need some speed on this team after losing Komarov, Frattin and Mac.

Balance.

(also, Ashton hasn't really impressed me during his time in the AHL)

it took a lot of money and years but

kulemin bolland clarkson

what a epic checking/gritty/speedy/shut down line omg

Clarkson is neither speedy nor good defensively, and he won't be playing in the bottom six.
