I know this was already created, but it's burried really deep somewhere >.<!

Now that we've acquired some players and it looks like we're pretty much done, what are your line combos :yo:

JVR - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Clarkson
Colborne - Bolland - Kulemin
Orr - McClement - Ross
McLaren
(Why the hell do we need McLaren if we got clarkson and orr)

Phaneuf - Gunnarsson
Franson - Gardiner
Liles - Fraser

Bernier
Reimer

we don't have enough money to re-sign Franson and Gunnar. ****. Are the Leafs planning dressing 4 AHL defensemen next season?

JvR - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Clarkson
Kulemin - Bolland - xxxx
McLaren - McClement - Orr

Colborne filling in somewhere and earning some minutes.

Changes from last year.

Goaltending
- Scrivens
+ Bernier

Defence
- Fraser

Forwards
- Frattin
- MacArthur
- Grabovski
+ Clarkson
+ Bolland

I'm not sure if we're a better team yet or not, I think we lost some depth, but we got some pieces that fit better.

OUT: Grabovski ($5.5 mil) + MacArthur ($3.5 mil) = $9 mil

IN: Bozak ($4.2 mil) + Clarkson ($5.25 mil) = $9.45 mil

Looks like it balances out and Komisarek $4.5 mil cap can be used towards raises for Franson and Gunner..

The Darkest Timeline
Lupul - Bozak - Kessel
JVR - Kadri - Clarkson (2 strong wingers for Kadri, expect this line to do well)
D'amigo - Bolland - Kulemin (shut-down line that can chip in offensively)
MacLaren - McClement - Orr (rather Ross or somebody than dressing both fighters)

Phaneuf - Gunnar (not much to say... decent pairing)
Gardiner - Franson (I think Franson will stay, or else hopefully we can add to him for a #2 two-way dman)
XXXX - XXXX
Bottom pairing made up of 2 of: Rielly/Liles/Blacker/Fraser/Holzer/Percy ==> I'd prefer Rielly - Fraser probably

Edit: Not sure about the Clarkson contract, but I expect this team to do well as those that didn't fit the need (grabovski as defensive C, Frattin as gritty #2RW were replaced with players that do fit the need very well)

Im talking about higher-end skill and talent. Bolland type players are dime a dozen. O well I guess

Name me one team picking in the final 20 of the draft that has acquired higher-end skill and talent without having given up something of value.

We lost guys that made minimal impact in Carlyle's system, and added guys that seem to be perfect fits.

Get another dman in here, and we're ready to compete for 1st place in our division next year. Boston doesn't scare me anymore, the Habs and Sens have not improved, Florida and Tampa have gotten worse.

Detroit is still Detroit and will be a battle, but everyone else does not matchup well against us.

Agreed. Leafs have improved. Boston has been gutted. Red Wings and Penguins remain strong. Caps too. Rangers perhaps. Leafs should compete for top four slot. Well done, Nonis.

We have 14 million, to essentially sign 4 players. Which is plenty for Kadri, Franson, Gunnarsson, and Bernier.

Bernier - 2 mill
Kadri - 4 mill
Gunnarson - 3.5 mill
Franson - 3 mill
Colborne - 1.5 mill
Fraser - 1 mill
= 15 mill

I think we might need a little more cap space to fit all those guys under the gun :/

And Mark Fraser! I'd hate to lose him.
