If I were in the Leafs I'd also be looking at Brendon Gaunce.... If Burke wants to mold a team like he said he wanted to in his hiring presser then Gaunce will get it done in all areas.

Galchenyuk isn't a bad pick either.

I'd also like to see the Habs go after Gaunce... big power forward that they sorely lack.

Faksa is a far better prospect than Gaunce.

are you advocating that the Leafs pick up Gaunce with the 5th overall pick?

I would predict the top 5 to go like that, I think Reilly gets in the top 10 over Faksa or Gaunce.

Sadly if oilers pick 2 there is no way they pass on Grigorenko. We need defense badly but you can not pass on this kid.

I agree with you on your top 5 but i think Dumba will be the 6th pick, Faksa (injury) could fall out of the top 10 and a much as i like Gaunce i wouldn't pick him in the top 10.

good list, if Anaheim loses Schultz then Dumba would be an amazing pick up for them...

Will be pissed if he picks Gaunce over Galchenyuk

He'd get run out of Toronto.

Galchenyuk is that big and skilled number one C they have searched for since Sundin left. There is no way they pass on him for a future 2nd liner at best.

Doubt Minnesota passes on Galchenyuk or Dumba in favor of Forsberg. I also think Collberg goes top 10.

If Minny fans don't want Forsberg we'll take him. He is just so ****in good. Could maybe end up as the best player out of this draft.

But Gaunce is just so truculent.

Temper the expectations if you think you're getting a 1C next year.

On the flip side, not sure Montreal will absolutely pick Grigs. Really talented, but he has a tendency to float. They may take a look at Forsberg or Galchenyuk.

It was mentioned last night during the Belleville Bulls/Ottawa 67's game that Grigorenko has been losing favour lately. It's possible that he could drop to 5-8. However, it's equally likely that someone deems him a high-risk/high-reward pick and he goes 2nd overall. Time will tell.

Gally and Grig are almost sure bet number one centers. Unless you mean that he most likely won't play in the NHL next season then I agree with you

What about Borque and Cole?

Why does everyone give the Wild Forsberg over Galchenyuk?

And I'm pretty sure we would take Dumba over Trouba. Murray and Dumba seem to be the consensus top 2 D right now
