Fedorov used to wear #29 too. He wore that number at the 1989 WJC.

If they fail to get Murray and/or Norström, it would make sense to do so because of injuries and whatnot.

Alexander Edler hasn´t been "cut" from Team Sweden, they just haven´t registrated him yet for some weird reason. But why wait really, the only d-man from the NHL that could make an impact is (believe it or not) Christian Bäckman. Mattias Norström of course, but he won´t be available until the playoffs. IF he says yes.
