Good signing... good if we keep him and good if we want to trade him!

Awesome signing by Nonis - its refreshing to see guys get paid less than what they may be worth around here for a change.

Why do we need him? He doesn't even deserve to be in the NHL.

You kids have to watch the games more closely, Holzer does a lot of good things with the puck in his own end, makes a good 1st pass, skates well and uses his size effectively, has a good shot from the point. He plays a safe game that fits Carlyle's system to a Tee. As Holzer is allowed to do more things his overall game will be impressive.

Minor deal, but it shows good cap management.

Holzer = a 5, 6, 7 Dman or in that range somewhere. Having someone on that sort of salary for that role is great.

And, as has already been said, that's a contract/player that you have no problems trading should you need to

Why are people upset over this? it's such a minor contract. Barely even effects our cap hit + this is his first season with the big club. I like this signing, cheap contract for a somewhat young defenceman. If it doesn't work out no big deal, he's not signed like Komi or Redden
