Bruins dads are along on this trip. They were at Wednesday's game too.
"This is my first one I've ever been on, so it's a lot of fun," said Jimmy Hayes, whose father actually went on the New York Rangers' fathers trip with his brother Kevin last season. "My dad looks forward to it — he went on one last year with my brother and had a great time. He just loves being around hockey and meeting all of the other dads — it's a big thrill for him and he's really excited."

"My dad was talking last night with some of the other dads and how they interacted with their kids growing up so it's pretty cool to see everybody interact with one another — and they all seem very similar and they've got all of their kids in the NHL, so it's a lot of fun, it's a great time for the dads to get to know each other better as well."

He looks like an old man in that draft photo. And blonde hair is just not a good look, at least he is wearing his helmet there! Kind of neat for his dad to be there for his 800th game. If they win again they need to keep the dads with them the rest of the season.

800 games, jeez... So glad he's been here for every one and hopefully he'll be here for the rest of them.

He's not going anywhere. He's ours forever :)

I saw Bergy play in his first preseason game at the Garden on my 21st birthday with my dad. I just wish my dad were here to watch number 800.

Hope not. Not offense to him but the current on the cusp young players are all tiny. We need size and skill to compliment our already diminutive forward corps.

Skinner is grittier than he's given credit for, borderline dirty at times. Size is always good (don't tell my wife), but I would be looking to JS for his scoring.

Granted I haven't seen him lately but would you say Skinner is on par with board strength as say Marchand? He is probably the strongest board guy for his size in the NHL.

I don't see him much either, but based on what I have seen, he's not on par with Marchand, but he's also not afraid to go into the corners.

I was tossing this out there in response to the crowd that thinks the B's should be going for it this year. Skinner is still young, signed for a couple more years at less that $6m, and could provide a Top 6 bridge until (hopefully) kids like DeBrusk and/or Heinen are ready.

The big risk is obviously the concussions. It's a longshot, but was just tossing it out there. Probably a better conversation for the Trade thread.

Nice GDT Ali
