Don’t know much about the player but he looked great at the U18s. More dynamic than Krebs at that tournament
Joe Sakic announcing the Newhook pick is probably the most urgency I've ever seen in him as a GM.
Google brought it to my attention that this kid is only 5’10”. Bust confirmed.
Cozens?nice hockey name. from Duchene-Stastny-ROR to Mack-Hook-Jost/Cozens/Compher/Kamenev/Kerfoot. not bad.
He'll be 5'11.25"in no timeGoogle brought it to my attention that this kid is only 5’10”. Bust confirmed.
SPEED KILLSIf we weren't sure what our identity was, we know now..................SPEED!!!!
Cozens?
Scariest thing about Newhook, though. He wears 18.
He'll be 5'11.25"in no time
Team Fit: In Newhook, the Avs add a player I am excited about. Newhook is a dynamic and highly competitive player. There were some scouts concerned about investing in a top BCHL talent after seeing the development of Tyson Jost, but the Avs, who picked Jost, were clearly not scared. I love it. I think Newhook is very talented and could be in the NHL in a year or two. The Avs, after picking Byram at No. 4, don’t have many top forward prospects, so Newhook instantly becomes the future top scorer for them in the pipeline.
Here we goActually he was 5'10.5" at the combine. He'll be listed at 5'11" soon.
This is the purpose of citing their exact measurement. You know they didn't round up from 5'9.5" to list him at 5'10".
They probably expect this kid to become what Jost was supposed to become. They learned their lesson with Jost, I don't expect them to rush Newhook.

What's the time frame for this guy? 1 year? 2?
I'm gonna say 2 and he joins us in the playoffs like Makar.
