Deja vu?

Assuming Pickard should have enough rest to start again.

What’s the timeline on JVR’s return?

This was mentioned yesterday: He is 10-to-14 days from playing.

With a travel day today, the team will probably skate Wednesday when I will assume additional injury updates will be provided.

Should be interesting. If we face Raanta, I think we're ****ed.

Nobody let you in a locked room with shoelaces! ;)

Raanta or not, we can do this again. There's not much you could lay at the goalies feet last night, we played a good game. I also feel that we have the advantage if it continues along the physical line. Nothing to fear here, but we need to learn to win at home.

This road trip is the reason we will have Hakstol as coach for the next 149 games instead of Joel Quenneville. Yay.
We could take 19 out of 20 points in a row and all you would do is come on here and bitch . We took 7 out of 8 points this trip be happy for the team .

Because we aren't going anywhere with Hakstol and every win keeps him here longer. I care about seeing them finally win a Cup a lot more than I care about a road trip in November.

@JojoTheWhale @HakstolisAFartVacuum I feel like this is the kind of thing you guys are referring to when you talk about "WIP hot takes," right?

Yes, yes it is. Ignoring context, all reasonable criticism, etc.

WIP (like all Northeast local sports talk) would usually follow it with some Skip Bayless type crap like, "AFTER 30 YEARS, THE FLYERS HAVE FOUND THEIR ANSWER IN NET!"

Any competent fan could see that despite going 3-0-1 on the road trip, we are still a bad hockey team.

We beat two bottom feeders, and we didn't even outplay them.

The loss to SJS shouldn't have been even close. The Sharks were a far better team.

The Flyers didn't play poorly against Arizona, but largely won off of luck and Pickard.

And in only one of those games did we have to face the teams top goalie. Anaheim and Arizona, despite not being that good themselves rested their starters against us because we aren't the least bit scary to face.

Right? Dang yotes played such a fast game compared to what asswipe bumblecrack has this team playing in regular basis. Not that buys couldn't keep up, just sayin.

Oh i'm not saying i don't agree with ya i'm just saying we won a few games Yah for the Flyers . The Hakshell thing has been beaten to death on every thread there is on here and we ain't going to be able to do anything about it anyways . I am also more pro Flyers than i am anti Hackshell and do realize that we are still a few years away from being a contender . Right now i am just looking forward to some of the younger players making stride forwards but also realize players like our goalies Weise Lehtera MacDonald Simmer will not be here when we are contending . Probably 1 or 2 of our top 6 forwards and a couple of our top 6 d won't be either so i don't sweat it right now .
Our team that can contend will have to have players like Hart Frost Allison Farabee Myers Rubtsov etc on it and they are a few years away . Right now if playing well we have a okay team but have too many holes to be considered a contender with or without a new coach . A new coach might give us a short spike but it would be short lived , we do not have enough pieces in place yet . imo
