eichel is the real. if we stay sharp on defense we should be ok.

Other than when McDavid was slumping at the beginning of the year, I really haven't heard that much from Eichel. Is he still scoring an insane amount of goals or has he turned into just a really quiet player.

Pavelski on TV postgame interview:

- important to get off to a good start on the road trip, there have been a lot of one goal games, frustrating when you lose those
- tries to work w/ all D on tip plays in practice, good play by Brauny getting it over there to Pauly, Pavs tried to get in the lane and was just able to get out of it but managed to turn around and tip it
- does tip practice w/ Burnzie a lot
- starts haven't been as good as they've wanted, a little slow again, played from behind, good to see guys get back on it, get on forecheck, Niets had a big goal for them
- they had a two goal lead, don't wanna give up one, but when you do, there's still time, still gotta do the little things like faceoffs and board work

Hertl (semi-intelligibly) on radio postgame interview:

- it was pretty tough, they started down a goal again, they scored really fast so it was good for them, his line played a lot in the D zone
- [unintelligible, but seems to want to play more in the O zone, and have a great game tomorrow]
- he and Larkin had some moments [not sure whether he means that it felt like fighting or if he said they almost got into a fight]

Hertl hard on himself, wasnt satisfied with his game. Kid's awesome.

he's just good impact player. amazing for a true rook. i hope he's quiet tomorrow!

Goals by 5 players that you can't pronounce or forgot were even in the league and a 67 save shutout by a mediocre back up.

It's Buffalo. This always happens.

Also, from what i saw Dillon played a fine game tonight. Happy birthday #4.

He had about a 5 minute period of complete failure though at one point, he had like 5 opportunities to clear the freaking zone and boned it up every time. Rest of the game he was ok.

The Dillon that played tonight is the Dillon that Doug envisioned when he traded for him.

We need him to play like that consistently.

Thanks. Glad to see that the Sharks started the road trip on a good note. Hopefully, they can keep it going in Buffalo tomorrow

I had forgotten that Karlsson is actually pretty darned good at hockey. Depth realized is a good thing, with Donskoi where he really should be on the 3rd line.
