I looked up the little you can find about Clark and he seems to have a good story, or at least has had some stuff to deal with in his life.

Probably better when I could just dismiss him as a boring nobody. Especially since he’s doing what I wanted him to do now or so it seems.

After hearing about Clark's mom, definitely kinda cool how he pulled it off so i'm happy about that.

For Rory, yesterday felt so much like the 2022 Open. not playing badly but just not doing nearly enough. Obviously he doesn't need the US Open for the career GS, but I think he needs to win one of the other 3 before he pulls off a win at Augusta. I just don't see his major drought ending there of all places. maybe he fittingly ends it at Liverpool.

I thought this was pretty funny from Clark's majors record. Maybe he ends up becoming another US Open specialist like Goosen and Payne Stewart

Goosen and Stewart were world class players who won a bunch of times around the world and we’re frequently in the mix in the other majors

A lot of people are comparing him to Webb Simpson right now.

With his power and short game you’d think he’ll be around for a while and at least rack up a solid amount of pga tour wins like Simpson did.

Will he ever win another major and consistently contend in them, who knows

yeah maybe that was underselling those guys a bit - he probably isn't as skilled as them, but i guess in terms of US Open success he seems to have a style that is suitable like those guys. namely, ability to consistently hit the ball straight.

I thought of Lee Janzen.
