The one thing that bodes well for Erne is it took him some time to get his sea legs in all of his pro seasons with the Crunch, if I'm not mistaken. We might be seeing a little bit of that at the NHL level. One thing we can say for sure is he's finally shown the "flashes" you're always looking for with young players. The move and vision required for his assist on the Paquette goal finally showed off his true skillset. Now we just have to see if he can keep it unlocked.

If he can be a legit impact player, rather than a warm body, it's just an embarrassment of riches.
