Rentals were worth more than... antropov was a bigger body who benefitted playing on a bad team with a superstar linemate.

I could mention patrick eaves got a second last year as a 21 goal scorer at deadline too.

Its very hard to find compables to maroon that got more than a second

Eaves was a conditional 2nd, that I believe turned into a late 1st. Anaheim needed to make the Conference Finals for that to happen.

That 1st trade is one of the worst I have ever seen. I would feel bad for getting that in return for Vanek. 2 former 1st rounders and a second for Vanek like cmon not even Jim Benning would offer that.
