Lemieux at his age could run this powerplay tho

He probably could be a pure powerplay specialist and still contribute, even at his age.

He'd never go for it of course but it'd be interesting to see lol.

you don't think going with a foreword playing back on de wouldn't be better than that combo? the defense would be as bad but it should make the offense better.

the forwards are back, particularly on the third and fourth lines which they should be playing behind...they will have problems and it will all be them, especially with our below average goaltending...lol

Hopefully the maintenance crew and Zamboni driver can get to the game in 2 feet of snow.

Does not having a snow clean up crew during the breaks have any impact on skill players handling the puck later in the period?

This is why I took issues with the Dumo comparisons.

I kept trying to explain he’s a different kind of player than Dumo.

He isn’t an offensive dynamo that will make end to end rushes. but he has really good vision and can make the kind of plays with the puck Dumo can’t.

I also never got the idea people were touting that POJ is weak and not physical. I assume because he’s skinny and they never watched him, that they made those assumptions.

He isn’t a Gumby type like Petts than can be pushed around.

He has skinny man freak strength and has never been afraid to play the body, nor does he get knocked around and bullied.

This is why I felt strongly people would like POJ and kept insisting he isn’t a Dumo clone... that was an annoying and lazy comparison I disliked.

Watch Zucker's goal in the last game...rewind all the way to the breakout and you'll see why he is so good. He starts the breakout up the right wall then moves over to the left wing into the soft ice. Makes a great play with the puck, but it's his play away from the puck that I am really liking.

wow a guy that was a fixture on the first line is now a healthy scratch.
edit; must of been there for just his skill.

Sceviour was never on the 1st line.

Why don’t they just postpone the b2b game against NJD?....seems a guaranteed loss anyway with our old core on a b2b unless Jarry gets unusually hot...

Presumably out of our control.

Guys, I just had a crushing realization.

Let's say we squirrel our way into one of the top 4 spots by reg. season's end. There will be no 3 on 3 OT's waiting for us in the playoffs.
At least we wouldn't afford Minnesota a lottery pick.
