Backstrom deserves no blame. Geez.

Yep. While he has let in 2 goals, he had very little chance to save either of them. Granted, we haven't seen any good saves from him either.

It seems like he has gone from being a very good, borderline elite goaltender to an average starter. It's not like our goaltending's a mess, but it seems like we can't count on Bäcks to make any gamesavers either.

We'll see though. It's only the third game of the season.

He had a good long chance to set up before the shot and he was completely unscreened. That puts it on the goalie.

If comes out to play his shooter there, he leaves an empty net. No goalie overplays his angle that much on a PP. And when you do, well we just sort of seen it with Rinne...

Well that's one way to get Backstrom pulled. :sarcasm: But it looks like my wish ain't happening tonight. An injury a game...we're leaving off from the same crap last year.
