In its first two games, the Wild dominated in both games - just couldn't score. The first game vs the Kings, the Wild's big guns were unable to find the back of the net and the Wild's play relied too much on the Kid Unit. In the 2nd game, after a bad start, the Wild were able to dominate the game but just before the OT ended, the Ducks' Mathieu Perreault was able to win it for the Ducks. In that game, the Wild also lost C Charlie Coyle, who had looked very good so far.

The Preds haven't had much to cheer about so far. Two losses to the Blues and the Avs. In the last game, they also lost D Roman Josi, who was destroyed by Steve Downie. The Preds' rookie defenseman Seth Jones, who was selected 4th overall in this year's Entry Draft, has reportedly looked good so far while getting a lot of minutes.

This one's a win! (in regulation)

The real question is: should I stay up to watch the game?

Absolutely inexplicable to have Scandella in the line-up given not only his last game, but his pre-season.

Will be interested in seeing the "second line" usage in this game. Have a feeling it will be more along the lines of the 4th option off the bench.

They better come out of the gates hot tonight.

I'm going to say Wild win 3-2 with Suter bagging the GWG in the 3rd period. :D

Thanks for the new thread and I sense a win tonight. I don't care if it's an ugly win, just WIN!

3-1 Wild. Predators only goal comes from the only player on the team I like aside from Rinne.

Hate to be negative but with the Coyle injury I feel a loss coming. 4 to 2 Preds.

Prove me wrong FBJ!!!!

Without Coyle, the Wild flounder around for the first two periods. By the time they get their heads out of their butts in the 3rd period, Peka Rinne has turned into Goalie of the Year, and stands on his head.

Nashville 2
Wild 0

#mnwild has recalled Carson McMillan; all 12 forwards are on the ice though.

Debbie Downer here with my prediction. Wild start slow & let Nashville get on the board early but snap back into things & start playing well, dominating most the game but like always struggle to score & give Rinne some highlight reel saves.

A sick Parise struggles to perform, Zucker rings a couple posts and Heatley looks the best he has all year but even with all the sustained pressure Spurg & Scandella have a couple lapses & it costs the team the game. Wild lose 3 to 1, panic ensues, talk of Yeo getting canned skyrockets and we start looking at the 2014 draft class to feel better about ourselves.

Goals by Cullen, Nystrom & Hornqvist for Nashville

Brodziak gets the loner for Minnesota.

As always, I hope like crazy I'm 100% wrong but if being a Minnesota fan has taught me anything it's to just expect them to lose that way anything else is a positive...

All I really care about tonight is NO MORE INJURIES!

Go Wild.
