Also say what you want about Gurianov, but with every shift he is starting to look more and more confident. Idk if it'll lead to anything but looks like he's gonna have a good chance to build off of it with all these injuries

Yea, the thing he needs most is time. Whether that time turns him into Hintz or Honka remains to be seen, but there's reason for hope.

I think his play tonight has earned him more of that. The injuries benefit him as well, considering there's now a gaping hole in the top 6 that no one else seems suitable of filling.

Not gonna win many games at all when you only score 1 goal.

Damn. I liked the effort tonight a lot though from the Polak injury on and the team actually looked dangerous offensively.

I mean, I guess it's a positive we outplayed them for 40 minutes? If not for that terrible first period we win that game probably.

But how many times have we said that over the past few years?

The team looked much better as the game went on just could score . Pavelski was really invisible but first games so i'm not mad. Hope the injuries aren't too bad.

We all win tonight cause hockey is officially back. Team from the polak injury on looked really good and that's with guys like Klingberg and Radulov having awful nights.

Love what we have in Pavelski though just feels like he consistently makes the right decision with the puck (other than that one time where he passed up that shot)

In all honesty, there were stretches where Dal looked decent but at the same time more of the same issues from last year. I hope Guri can seize this opportunity and turn into a player.

Pavelski was probably our 2nd best forward imo after Hintz. Also picked up an assist on that goal. for me it was Seguin that was too invisible for my liking, and also Klingberg and Radulov were just bad

Not really happy about Hintz not being on the ice when we needed a goal the most tho. No clue what Monty was thinking there

Klingberg really had a terrible night though. Radulov and his penalties also was not helpful to say the least

Sekera looked alright as the game went on. Its like he forgot how intense an NHL game is for the first few minutes.

Really didn't seem that different from last year. Can't see much progress yet. Oh well, let's see what next game brings.

I wouldn't put too much stock into that. Teams down multiple goals play more aggressively. Regardless, 1 goal is still 1 goal.

They're never going to be better than infuriatingly brutal trash. But the league doesn't want them to be good. They want them to manage the game or some ****.

Everything needs to be artificially closer than it actually is. Thats also why the NHL doesn't use the 3-2-1-0 point system imho . It would destroy the "parity" of the league.
