Krug did not play the last five minutes of Thursday’s overtime win over the Predators, as his last shift ended at 15:47 of the third period and he was not used in overtime. Julien said that was due to some sort of ailment and was the reason he was given Friday off. The defenseman appeared to be walking without a limp following the game.

“We’ll see how he is tomorrow,” Julien said. “If he’s good to go, he’ll go.”

Wheeler also had a 10 goal December and I'd have to argue Getzlaf is a bit better at center than Little. Wheeler also has experience with the PK and is better defensively, not to mention a faster skater for the big ice.

Look, I'm not one to question destiny (after all, I did forget to add the moose recently plus all the times I tempted fate with the damn spoon) but are you scarred or scared?

That's gonna go a long way to determining how invested I am in this game.

Also, nice GDT. It's all about conservation really. One has to wisely budget their physical energy when your biggest concern is making sure you still have blood flow to all your extremities. Can't do that if you're expending energy detailing the playmaking abilities of one Blake Wheeler.
