Furthermore, he's skated less than 10 minutes in just five games total this year.

I thought his Calgary game was one of the best he'd played in awhile. I do recall Nolan smarting at Hodgson after the second goal the other night, though. Real kick in groin to sit him in Vancouver. In fact, it's pretty cold and I think you could argue borderline malicious. Though neither will ever admit it, wouldn't be surprised if the Hodgson-Nolan relationship is unsalvageable. I have to imagine both is hoping to outlast the other.

What the hell...?

Edit: Did the stick concuss him or something? That's a strange reaction to a stick to the face.

One night "it was his best game all season". Next night, two guys mis-read a play together and one of them is publicly humiliated in the worst way for his profession.

I don't see how this does anything for the player (confidence, etc.) or the guys around him. Doesn't matter who you are or what job in life we're talking about, no one is comfortable with this kinda scene. There's gotta be a better way to manage assets - and motivate a team.

Of all the things to be upset about with this team...Cody Hodgson taking a seat can not possibly be one of them. He's being outpaced by 2014 Ville Leino.

I think the bigger point being that it took 1 guy 47 games to have anything close to a 'best' game, while the other guy plays a reliable 20+ mins a night. But hey don't let that stand in the way of a good story.
