I have a friend in Miami who is only very casually interested in sports (only score watches hockey) and he was insufferable during their win streak. So it'd be annoying to lose in the playoffs to them.

I don't think I could handle losing to the Panthers in the playoffs.

Granted I think we would beat them in 7 games, if we lost I wouldn't leave my house for a month.

Yeah I know it would a dramatic series in every sense but 'victory without peril brings no glory'. I mean imagine how sweet it'd be to send them where they belong, the golf course.

Argh, some puck luck I feel would do wonders for Cally's confidence. Nice play still though.

Even an empty netter at this point would help. Lol

Cally just cannot score this year, feel bad for him.

It's def not play or effort. Some of those were good shots Fluery had to fight off and it caused some rebounds. Just need a few games from him to score and he is good.

Or we should filter slumping players through his line. Now that Names is going, let's bump him down to Killer's spot, and move Callahan up with 18-91. Then once Cally is going, we take whoever else is playing poorly.

I'm kidding of course. But the crazy thing is, it would probably work. There's a lot of evidence now to suggest that Drej is a really rare type of player.

Callahan is not playing poorly though. His offensive game has been severely snake bitten this season and nothing has gone right for him in terms of production. He was great last night doing everything. Just alas no points to show for it.

We should have a line of Palat - Johnson - Callahan since all 3 of these guys need to get going and all have dealt with injuries. So I am all for a Pallahan reunion lol. But flip and Cally have been good together.

Yeah, he had a very good game last night.

I wouldn't mind seeing 86-9-24 have a run. Kuch used to play a lot of LW for us, pre-TKO. I just think someone needs to replace Killer on that line, and I'm not sure who should get the call. Maybe Cally, maybe even a guy like Brown to do the dirty work, and who's played well with Kucherov in the past.

I think Killer is "okay" on that line, but I think it needs more of a spark. That's not really his game. Maybe Marchessault. Then we could reunite KFC on the third line and all would be right with the world. Flip is playing really well again. Reduced minutes/responsibility suits him.

Yeah thought the 2nd line was meh last night and they almost cost the game in the last 10 seconds. I loved Phil's reaction calling them stupid lol.

Cally needs a few games like Palat had against Colorado production wise to get confidence back. He played 20 mins last night well earned but could not find the score sheet. Telling tale of his season.

I would also prefer brown over Paquette on the 3rd line. Brown - Flip - Cally were actually productive and looked great earlier.

Cally's best moments lately are on the PK. I know you're not going to like this, but he's been kind of useless on the PP this year. I mean, yeah, every now and again he screens the goalie nicely, but he's not winning possession in the corners, or really contributing in any meaningful way.

I like that his role is changing to more of a defensive specialist. I think he's more valuable to us that way. Where offense is concerned, we have better options. But he's the go-to guy for big blocks and big hits, and he can chip in a goal now and again too. But if I have a choice between Cally on the PP or Cally on the PK, I'll take the PK all day long.

Not going to disagree with you there. His PP production is a huge part of his offensive struggles this year and has been a huge disappointment. He is not getting in front of the net as much and some of that concern was lack of shooting on a 2nd unit but he has been on the top pp unit now with Stamkos so no excuses really. Can't blame it on coop now lol. He had 10 PP goals last year this year he has one and it came in the first game of the season, pretty sad.

Honestly think Cally is being utilized better this season than last year and to why he was signed here. Points and goals will come as long as he keeps playing well.

Stralman's the kinda player who has the unknown abilities and just seems to have them shine when we need it the most.

Guarantee you he couldn't do that again if you asked him 100 times, but that's why he's special. He doesn't have to. When you really need the guy, he just shows up and makes you go "wow".

Truth be told about Stralman he wanted job security but the Rangers did not want to give it to him, they gave it to Giradi instead, and well here we are now. Was so happy when he signed here knew what we were getting. Amazing goal last night.
