This loss pissed me off more than any in recent memory. I'm starting to hate this organization....that's probably a good thing though.

This game illustrates what the problem is. Yes, lack of talent and depth are huge issues but the other issues which have remained over 12+ years is lack of commitment to executing simple plays due to lack of IQ perhaps and poor work ethic.

ONCE AGAIN, the opponent outworked them and executed their game plan better. They didn't lose this game because of a lack of talent, they didn't get outplayed by the Rangers and even the Sens a few weeks ago because of a lack of talent although that is certainly a big factor, it's because there's no urgency in their game and they just don't play as a team. Obviously they need better players and a lot of them but man, there's so many issues even beyond that. Something in the water I guess.

This game is on Koskinen. When the Oilers were pressuring Schneider made saves. When the Devils put pucks on net, Koskinen was on his knees. That 4th goal should get him sitting on the bench for a game or 2, inexcusable.

We can complain about the reider/russell types but they are pretty inconsequential at this point.

The far bigger problem is that this organization thinks that larsson/klefbom/nurse/nuge are impact players. Nurse still does many good things to make up for the bad and is certainly the most competitive of the bunch so he can stay. The other 3 can gtfo.

Larsson was never that good. He played top pairing on a basement team. Big ****ing deal. He's actively making the team worse every minute he's on the ice, just cut our losses with this guy and call it a day. Maybe some dumbass GM out there still thinks he can play top 4.

Pretty much. The only reason he's considered top pairing around these parts is because our d corp just plain sucks.
