This blows a lot

Have we seen JT with Nash yet? Could be an interesting idea...

Nash-Brass-JT
Kreider-Stepan-MSL
Hagelin-Hayes-Fast
Glass-Moore-Shep

Hopefully he gets better soon

Interesting idea. I think JT could do good work there.

Wasn't it Miller that moved up when Zucc got hurt ? (or do i remember that wrong ? Granted.. it was a traumatic moment, my mind shut down to protect my heart).

I think it was Fast, and thats probably who will move up. Sheppard might get a crack at it too, but we'll see.

Bottom 6 has no creativity at all but I don't think we have a choice.

I thought he got in the jaw more than the head? Could it be possible he has a broken jaw?

Horrible, awful news. This team without Zuccarello is not winning the cup. Can McD stop trying to kill his teammates?!
I guess now we can see St.Louis deteriorate even more before our eyes... Yay!

Good thing we have Stempniak, who has played on the top 6 throughout his career.

Oh wait.

Concussion Recovery Question:

What's the timeline once a player is symptom free? Can he be cleared by docs to resume skating/taking contact right away, or does the player need to be symptom free for a certain amount of time?

Or is it just a case by case basis?

Zuccarello was the Rangers best possession forward against Pittsburgh.

We will feel this loss. Hard.

Worst news possible for Zucc. This is terrible. He could be done for the year. This puts a nice little dent in our Cup hopes.

Lee Stempniak, come on down! :(

There is just one possible silver lining to all this; that Sheppard comes in and plays the way he did for SJ in round 1 last year and forces AV's hand.

Rampant speculation that this is in fact a concussion, right?

Ugh :shakehead

Agree with JohnC's lines. I wonder if AV has the balls to put D. Moore on the third line, and play Sheppard at C?

So...

Kreider - Stepan - MSL
Nash - Brass - JT
Hagelin - D. Moore - Hayes
Glass - Shep - Fast

My eyes and ears are bleeding at just the thought of that line.

Sheppard has been historically very poor at center.

What was the speculated worst case scenario? I missed that comment.

It depends on the case. Sometimes it's a couple weeks, sometimes it's a couple months, sometimes it's almost a full season (ie: Perron/Bergeron). We just have to wait and see.

And who lit it up in Winnipeg after the trade.

But that's in the past. Other Rangers will have to step up in Zuc's absence. They've done it with Klein out and they'll have to do it again if they are going to advance deeper into the postseason. I don't think anyone expected to make it through a long playoff run unscathed.
