What an amazing ambassador for the game Hank is BTW. We are used to it in NY, but those insane saves he made in this game is really noticed around the hockey world.

Well the goal against him was pretty ugly but everyone seemed to be thinking it would be icing and Lundqvist was kind of looking confused about playing the puck or what to do and woops

Counted the games. He misses 5 games if he comes back that 3/9 game v. Detroit which is 3 weeks from the date of the injury. If it's the full 4 weeks and he doesn't dress that SJ game on 3/16, he misses 10. That extra week from 3/9 is huge, they have games v. Detroit, Carolina, Minnesota, Winnipeg, and San Jose all in one week.

Nyr hand specialist confirmed initial diagnosis on Zuccarello. 3-4 weeks from the time of injury so likely 10 days to 2 weeks of NHL gms.

Could have been a lot worse, so I am pretty happy with this.

of course. So I guess Dorsett comes back in? I imagine they have to call up someone to sit around in case of injury? Powe or Asham sitting around makes some sense

Falk is the only spare and he hasn't played in forever. He is a Dman of course too.

Could have been worse but hes still missing games against tough teams.

We aren't getting though without it hurting us.

1 or 2 games fine, but 4-5 games all against tough teams. But still not awful.

NYRFA218 outlined it. If it turns into 4 weeks then forget everything about a minor injuy.

Edit: When was the injury sustained. I thought it was last Sunday....or was it during this week

Eeeesh, this post seems premature factoring in that Hank, Nash, Callahan, McD, and Step are still playing in this tournament.

An injury to any of the guys mentioned would definitely have an impact on Sather's decisions down the stretch.

We know Step will be fine ;)

What kind of docs do the Rangers have? Sounds like they're making it worse than it really is...

I had a similar hand injury once, small crack in a bone. Resting the hand, I was fine in about a week, no pain.

I'm sure Zucc wont agree that he has to be out for a month, if it heals normally.

You want it to heal correctly and not be a nagging injury. I had a similar break and it took 3 weeks to properly heal. No pain and playing NHL hockey are not the same thing

Hopefully someone steps up in his absence, we need all the points we can get. Brassard and Pouliot may not be as effective now, the dynamic of that line changes without Zucc.

It’s a rebuild.

I agree!

Zucc's doctors are a bunch on nay saying punks! Your similar injury, which is clearly similar as evident by the detailed medical diagnoses that included x-rays in Dredger's tweet, didn't prevent you from being this team's number one scorer during the season of your similar injury.

Zucc better man up! :sarcasm:

To return to the lineup, yeah, but not for 3rd line duty and 18 minutes a game.

Nash and Callahan can pick up more minutes pretty easily.

I wouldn't be totally opposed to just running with Dorsett if he is healthy. Guys are coming back with fresh legs too from the break which will help.

I think I'd be more inclined to leave the kids in Hartford to let them play.

I would imagine that if they were planning on calling someone up, they would have done so already.

Since the team needs to replace some of MZA's scoring, I hope they give Jesper Fast a chance. He is Hartford's leading scorer per game and has a good two way game. Everyone watching the Pack thinks he is NHL-ready.
