Senegal & Burkina Faso have asked for France to be disqualified from the U17s because Yanis Issoufou played for Niger's U17 in qualifiers for the U17 AFCON before playing for France.
The FIFA laws on this are quite clear: France should be disqualified from the 2023 U17 FIFA World Cup

However, will FIFA have the guts to actually disqualify France? Usually they only disqualify smaller nations without any political influence

I would be a little disappointed if they were, but I also think kids should be free to switch around as much as they want until the senior level, so don't much care about this rule being broken...and selfishly I'd like to see the trilogy between our U17 teams if we both made it to the final.

It would be pretty funny though after all of Evilo's whining about France training kids for other NTs

I slept through it too, but it sounds like it wasn't too far off. After we took the lead late, Schmitt reportedly had to make a big save in the 90th minute to secure the win.

Sounds like it was a fun match...as we played a very attacking formation with Darvich (natural 10) & Ramsak (natural FW) filling two of the midfield spots, and da Silva Moreira returning to RB after having played RW in the group stages.
Supposedly there was a pretty clear handball not given against Germany

Germany hold on to make it to the semifinals against Spain, 1-0 Brunner penalty. Didn't impress, Spain was the better team.

Didn't watch but glad we held on. Spain was the last team to beat our U17s...granted we had already qualified from the group.

Looks like it'll be Argentina next as they're up 2-0 over Brazil with half an hour left.

3-0. Echeverri outstanding. Gomez also nearly scored a golazo. River Plate's academy is outstanding.

Chile tried for him. But he chose Argentina. Of course if things don't pan out for him he could play fir Chile in the future. Immensely talented. Normally a CF thst noe plays in an outside right role. Gallardo qas great with the River cantera on giving players chances. Dimi not so much.

Fun game so far. Brunner with the early 1-0 but the Argentinian press is pushing us back. We're generally doing a good job keeping them to the perimeter, and any time we get forward things look dangerous.

da Silva Moreira is super raw as a FB, but man does that kid have the tools to become world class at that spot.

Brunner does a bad job shepherding the ball out of bounds and Argentina snags the equalizer. They've deserved a goal, but this is why we should've scored a second when we had the chance.

Argentina with a not undeserved 2-1 lead at the half, scoring to go ahead right after Brunner rattled the crossbar. We've continued to be sloppy and lackadaisical in our build up play, need to clean that up if we want to advance...might be time for Ramsak...

Fun game though, really wide open.

A bad clearance from the keeper and Brunner has his second to tie it up. Could have a hat trick already if he had kept his shot down at the end of the first.

Would you look at that. Our first stretch of possession in the game and we give Moerstedt an easy header for the 3-2

Our second stretch of possession is only stopped from ending in a Golazo because of offsides. Really sucks that Ouedraogo got hurt, we just can't control games against elite teams the same way without him.

I'm glad these Argentinian kids tied this up late, they've outplayed us and showed so much heart after it had looked like that 3rd goal broke them, but a couple mistakes and they got Brunner'd. They deserved to take this to pens.

Ramsak is such a good s***stirrer. Usually Müller comps are a bad thing because they signify that a player lacks exceptional physical tools or dribbling, but Ramsak has the tools & craftiness to be the first kid since Brandt to get that comp and succeed.

Well the trilogy is on, France-Germany round 3 for the U17 WM. Neither side has been as sharp as as they were at the euros and we're missing Ouedraogo, who was key in the first two matchups, but the talent is there for one heck of a finale. Hopefully it's not too cagey.

Subiabre played on the left against us and looked very lively, taking advantage of da Silva Moreira's defensive naivety a few times very nicely. He and Echeverri stood out most IMO, but you guys just played really well as a whole; pressing very effectively, with everyone putting in a lot of work.

Gifted that game with 2 dumb errors and one simple chance missed. Villagŕa is great. Highly promising group in midfield and upfront shame the defence was lacking and the keeping too.

If you want to play the high quality chances missed game, we should've gone into half time with a 2-1 or 3-1 lead instead of down by 1.

But that's football, especially at the youth level, great chances don't always lead to goals or we each would've scored 5+

It's men against boys in the Mali vs Argentina bronze medal game, and I'm not talking only phisically. Mali lead 2-0 at half time but Argentina haven't crossed the midfield line all that many times, they're insisting on playing from the back and it's killing them. Their best players are in midfield and up but they're not getting any balls through, and they have no answer for Mali's incessant press.

Croatian media reporting they are trying to recruit Robert Ramsak who is also eligible for Slovenia apparently (this same article claims they are offering him already a spot on their Euro squad, which I don't believe...), after some years of not capping any German born players they have recruited more successfully the last few years, but in reality none of them would probably be good enough to play for Germany (Stanisic, Pongracic, Marco Pasalic, Ivanovic)

I'm very high on Ramsak. Kid has good tools and very good technical skills, but what makes him stand out is his instincts. He just knows where to be and how to cause a ruckus; it's like watching a teenage Thomas Müller again.

Yalcinkaya was offsides before the foul, it shouldn't be a pen.

EDIT:
NVM came off the French defender after Darvich's initial shot. That's a reasonable call, good job by the VAR.

La mini-Mannschaft looking good despite not having the same kind sharpness we did over the summer with Ouedraogo, Kabar, and Schmitt out. Not pressing too high has really clogged things up for the French possession play, while Brunner and Darvich continue to be a terror going forward.

Argney had a good half to keep it to 1. Bouabre has found some space in behind da Silva Moreira, if they can link him & Lambourde a little better, they can still get back into this as long as Evilo's boy can keep us from snagging a 2nd.
