because marty is freaking 42 years old in 2 months. Schneider is the future of this organization.

Its enough already with pleasing marty. I root for the devils, not martin brodeur. Yes, he has been ok to good the past few starts and cory has struggled, but come on.

But for the season, they've been pretty even. So it's not pleasing the legend in a way that hurts the team.

Yeah Marty's old, but so is Jagr, and if you don't want Jagr then you want to stink next year.

Since this is more about the direction this team is heading beyond just the day to day I guess we are cool in here right?

But I think it's been overlooked to an extent, and I think we have praised Marty more then we have criticized Schneids about it.

But Schneid's stick handling is awful. It's not average, it's not just OK. It's terrible. And just watching the early stages of the Florida game it may have turned me a bit against Schneid's. Then you watch Marty last night. It is night and day.

No I don't think it has been the main driver to the large goals for disparity that each goalie has gotten, but it certainly plays a role in the game. And on the one hand, you have the best in game at it, on the other you have a guy who is as bad as any regular netminder in the league.

sure I want Jagr next year, but if I am picking between Jagr for next year and signing a guy like Moulson long term (I know that isn't a realistic scenario but I am using it for arguments sake), I pick Moulson.

Marty should NOT be on this team next year. period.

the team has been used to playing with Martys stick handling for a long time.
they have to get used to Cory's lack of it
kind of like when a catcher catches a fastball pitcher one night, then a knuckleballer the next

I think I'd rather have Jagr for the next 3 years then Moulson.

But he is terrible at it. It's a detriment. It's not just a different style like fastballer/knuckle baller, it's a lack of ability.

If there is a worthwhile offer on the table for Schneid's this offseason. I'd trade him.

Again he rightly unseated Marty, took the the job and ran with it, I'd be cool with going the other way, but he certainly has not done that.

I remember when I was saying how Lou should overpay to keep Cory....

Now I'm doing an about-face and saying that Lou should NOT overpay but simply offer a FAIR Market-Value deal to Cory this offseason and if he doesn't accept, then look to trade him to a team that would give us a GOOD return.

if you look back at all my posts, you'll find me saying back in November that Cory is NOT a #1 starter, then in January I ate crow and agreed...he is a #1, now I'm going back to my November feelings
I wonder what Lou is thinking

Schneider will be a multiple Vezina winner.

I'd rather that happen in a Devils uniform.

He's clearly a #1 and will be a top one.

Have you all gone mad?
