This is might be the best team in this thread, at least up front:

Leclair-Lindros-Jagr
Gagne-Forsberg-Giroux
Roenick-Briere-Voracek
Carter-Couturier-Richards

Desjardins-Pronger
Timonen-Hatcher
Provorov-Streit

Bobrovsky
Emery

if you disqualify Lindros because he only played a few months after 2000, then shuffle those forwards around and add one of Brindamour, Sharp, Williams, or Primeau. jesus that’s some hockey names there though.

Daximus

Wow, what a terrific audience.

If I limit it to just their time in Dallas that is probably what I would go with. It was tough with guys like Hull, Hatcher, Nieuwendyk and Sydor because they are mainly known for their time in the late 90's and a couple of those guys only played 1-2 seasons post 2000. They're Dallas legends though so I had to include them. Post 2000 and until Benn, Seguin, and Klingberg came along Dallas went through a long period of mediocrity with a few good teams/players sprinkled in. Morrow, Eriksson, and Ribeiro are probably the best players from those mediocre years that played in Dallas more than just 2-3 seasons. Kari Lehtonen carried a lot of bad teams in his time at Dallas but I don't think anyone will have issue with Bishop being on there after just two seasons.

Lindell and Miro will be kicking off a couple of those dmen within a year or two.

For fun Dallas could have a 4th line of
Roussel - Ott - Avery lol

I feel like I constantly bitch about San Jose’s offensive defenseman (which stopped last year with a certain acquisition), but that’s a good group!

I guess we get each player at their peak?
(lines and esp. d-pairings might not line up perfectly)

Sedin-Sedin-Bertuzzi
Naslund-Sundin-Pettersson
Demitra-Kesler-Boeser
Burrows-Horvat-Eriksson

Ehrhoff-Jovanovski
Edler-Hamhuis
Bieksa-Mitchell?

Luongo
Miller

I was about to go full WTF on this and rant away about how nobody has commented on Eriksson's inclusion....

And then I realized, it doesn't actually have to be about the player's performance with that team -- we are free to assume peak performance. Right?

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Naslund-Pettersson-Bertuzzi
Kesler-Sundin-Boeser
Demitra-Horvat-Samuelsson

I just can't bring myself to include Eriksson lol

Defense is good, but I'd prefer Salo to Mitchell.

I mean the big question is "is Eriksson's peak better than Samuelsson's peak" and I would argue that it was. We have fond memories of Samuelsson but Eriksson has had multiple solid 1st-liner type seasons while Samuelsson had maybe 1-2 where he looked top-6.
