Flames, just based on peak play for us (and how I'd make lines, not ranking lines against each other):

Tkachuk-Conroy-Iginla
Gaudreau-Monahan-Hudler
Huselius-Langkow-Lindholm
Gelinas-Backlund-Donovan

Giordano-Brodie
Regehr-Leopold
Bouwmeester-Warrener

Kiprusoff
uhhh.....Rittich?

Edit: I'd probably want to find a way to get Stephane Yelle on this roster as the fourth line centre just because he's pretty much the perfect defensive centre. Langkow to wing maybe and drop Donovan?

Took a shot at one for the Preds.

Paul Kariya - Ryan Johansen - Viktor Arvidsson
Filip Forsberg - Jason Arnott - J.P. Dumont
Steve Sullivan - Cliff Ronning - Martin Erat
Scott Hartnell - David Legwand - Patric Hornqvist
Greg Johnson (z''l), Scott Walker

Roman Josi - PK Subban
Ryan Suter - Shea Weber
Mattias Ekholm - Kimmo Timonen
Dan Hamhuis

Pekka Rinne
Tomas Vokoun

Explicitly excluded: Alexander Radulov. (Was also horribly tempted to leave out Suter.)

Honorable Mentions: Ryan Ellis, Mike Dunham, Mike Fisher, James Neal, Jussi Saros, Sergei Kostitsyn.

Guys considered and rejected due to lack of peak years: Peter Forsberg, Seth Jones.

Sharks would have a lot of stars if you consider players at their peak and count rentals, but i'll try

Hertl - Thornton - Cheechoo
Heatley - Couture - Nolan
Marleau - Roenick - Selanne
Meier - Gomez - Pavelski

Vlasic - Burns
Blake - Karlsson
Campbell - Boyle

Cammalleri - Langkow - Iginla
Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund - Huselius
Tanguay - Conroy - Gelinas
Just missed: Bure, McAmmond, Hudler, Savard, Glencross, Bourque, Jokinen

Giordano - Brodie
Regehr - Hamilton
Phaneuf - Hamrlik
Just missed: Hamonic, Warrener, Ference, Bouwmeester, Leopold, Morris

Kiprusoff
Rittich
Just missed: Ramo, Smith, Turek, Hiller, Elliott

Monahan is on the "second line" because of his chemistry with Gaudreau. Iginla is automatically on the first line, and he had insane chemistry with Cammalleri.

from 2000 season to the current one.

Red Wings:

Larkin - Datsuyk - Hossa
Franzen - Zetterberg - Hull
Shanahan - Yzerman - Vanek
Samuelsson - Fedorov - Holmstrom

Lidstrom - Rafalski
Kronwall - Schneider
Chelios - Green

Hasek
Osgood
Larkin wouldn't be on the first line; Fedorov would definitely not be on the fourth line.

Based on players peak:

Bertuzzi Fedorov Sykora
Kariya Oates Selanne
Ryan Getzlaf Perry
Karlsson Koivu Kesler

Extras Rakell, Weight

Pronger Visnovsky
Beauchemin Niedermayer
Carney Ozolinsh
Extra: Lindholm

Giguere
Miller
Gibson

I would put that D up against anyones. That’s leaving off names like Schneider, Lydman, Souray, Fowler.

Based solely on their time in Anaheim:

Ryan Getzlaf Perry
Kariya McDonald Selanne
Pahlsson Kesler Silfverberg
Kunitz Fedorov Rakell
Extras: Koivu Rucchin

Beauchemin Niedermayer
Lindholm Pronger
Carney Visnovsky
Extra: Fowler

Giguere
Gibson
Hiller

Tried to balance the pairings, obviously Visnovsky would be ahead of Lindholm on the depth chart but feel Carney would be a good partner for him.

Everyone at their peak? That changes everything.

Dallas Stars

Jamie Benn - Eric Lindros - Jaromir Jagr
Jason Spezza - Mike Modano - Brett Hull
Ray Whitney - Joe Nieuwendyk - Pierre Turgeon
Jere Lehtinen -Tyler Seguin- Jason Arnott

Extras: Guy Carbonneau, Pat Verbeek, Bill Guerin, Claude Lemieux, Brad Richards

Sergei Zubov - Sergei Gonchar
Derian Hatcher - John Klingberg
Teppo Numminen - Miro Heiskanen :)

Ed Belfour
Tim Thomas

Now if we change it to just how good they were in Dallas that changes everything. You would remove about half those names and add Morrow, Ribeiro, Eriksson, Richards, Turco, Bishop, Sydor, Radulov and others.

Benn-Seguin-Radulov
Hull-Modano-Lehtinen
Eriksson-Richards-Nieuwendyk
Morrow-Ribeiro-Arnott

Zubov-Klingberg
Goligoski-Robidas (yuck)
Hatcher-Boucher/Sydor/Miro

Turco
Bishop

If I limit it to just their time in Dallas that is probably what I would go with. It was tough with guys like Hull, Hatcher, Nieuwendyk and Sydor because they are mainly known for their time in the late 90's and a couple of those guys only played 1-2 seasons post 2000. They're Dallas legends though so I had to include them. Post 2000 and until Benn, Seguin, and Klingberg came along Dallas went through a long period of mediocrity with a few good teams/players sprinkled in. Morrow, Eriksson, and Ribeiro are probably the best players from those mediocre years that played in Dallas more than just 2-3 seasons. Kari Lehtonen carried a lot of bad teams in his time at Dallas but I don't think anyone will have issue with Bishop being on there after just two seasons.

Lindell and Miro will be kicking off a couple of those dmen within a year or two.

Feel kinda like I was cheating on a few of those, but technically within the rules. Would have to edit a few of it is only for the time they spent in our uniform.

Yea the pens forwards are far and away #1 here.

I wouldn't be using guys who had minimal games as a Pen and for me that excludes Hossa, Iginla and Leclair.
