He really isn't. If Marner signs for 8.5m or so, you can run Matthews for 3 years then probably move on. He gives off the impression he is going to leave to highest bidder anyways. I have more faith in Nylander staying here than Matthews and the same goes for Mitch. If Marner wants the 10.5m or whatever, he's a goner.

If Mitch was willing to sign 8.5 he would have been signed the day after playoffs.

Ugh...he was invisible after Game 2.

Cassidy is so ****ing smart. He compared Marner to freaking Gretzky and Marner let it get to his head...and he was completely neutralized after that.

Not what I recall. Matthews got his chances but when he wasn't scoring he was visibly frustrated and didn't meet my expectations defensively. Marner is simply dangerous when the puck is on his stick and if he was neutralized kudos for Bruins for recognizing who can dismantle their defense
