Yup. There is a ripple effect here regardless if you personally listen to radio. The goal is to make the Islanders and valuable, viable, and relevant as possible and getting on a radio station like WFAN, if only for 30 games, is one of a million things that ownership can do that is a positive step in the right direction.

Unless I'm mistaken, per the leaked leased agreement, it's Barclays that controls the radio rights, so this is primarily them, not Isles ownership.

Who ****ing cares about radio broadcasts???

For the sake of argument, if a radio station has broadcast rights to a team, then they will be more inclined to talk about that team during other shows

I care a lot about this. I own a tutoring business and have to travel during the games a lot. Many nights I'll be on my way home around 9 pm so it is great to be able to listen to the entire 3rd period live since I can't watch it live.
