Where exactly was this switch in 2010 or 11 or 12 or 14? Pens are not going to be physical and hard to play against this year. Pens still have talent but when a team thinks it can flip a switch, it never does. Pens are what they are. A soft team that loses battles on the wall and D men who avoid contact at all costs. Not a recipe for winning is it.

Of those 12 games, they only played 3 against teams CURRENTLY in the playoffs. They are 2-1, with two wins against Philly and the loss to New Jersey.

In the 9 games against teams currently NOT in the playoffs, the Pens are 5-2-2.

Honestly, the ONLY thing in their last dozen games that inspires confidence is my thought that the Pens match up reasonably well against the Flyers.
