if they're getting rid of lehner because they want their other goalie to play, why would they take smith?

change him to a similar piece not in net, upgrade the extra prospect they're getting (by a little bit, not too much), and i approve.

seems like a move from a position of strength for both teams. boston is doing well, but with the addition of a top six forward that will actually be playing and a top four defenseman, they'll be doing better. subban is their third goalie. despite smith being better than steward, smith isn't actually playing as they can't afford him. that's what gets this trade my approval

Going through the numbers, I had only 4 losses throughout the whole playoffs and Benny only had 5. 2 of mine being in the finals and 4 of Benny's in the finals.
